Spring 2003 and 2004

At this point we wanted to start the restorations. We decided to do small jobs that would allow us to see some progress. We started with the dash and the interior. The body was in O.K. shape ( so we thought , more on that in Aug 2010) so this was a good starting point. My daughters and I spent a bunch of time cleaning, replacing, and repainting. Becca was in charge of replacing the Dash lenses.

After that we moved to the painting of the doors and the dash area.

Now the doors

Along with dozens of little items like the knobs and door handles, we also had to replace the window regulators and bushings, (front and back windows) the convertible top piston and I really needed a radio. I did not want to cut the dash so we added a MP3/Receiver below the radio and two speakers into a new set of Kick panels.
